Maya Angelou Academy Featured in Education Week

“Education Week” ran an article (Nov. 4, 2010) about the Maya Angelou Academy, the school See Forever manages within the DistrictÂ’s long-term juvenile correctional facility. The story highlighted the Maya Angelou Academy as a model program for educating incarcerated youth, and also discussed the need to improve schools in youth correctional facilities.

As a part of this ongoing discussion, our co-founder, David Domenici, participated in an online discussion on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, with Laura Abrams, associate professor of social welfare at the School of Public Affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles.
